Harms of Waste Oils

DAMAGES OF WASTE OILS – OUR WORLD IS EXPOSED TO A DANGEROUS POISON EVERY DAY

Harms of Waste OilsIn our country, 1.5 million tons of vegetable oil is used for food purposes every year. As a result of the use of these oils, approximately 300 thousand tons of waste oil is produced.
1 liter of waste vegetable oil pollutes 1 million liters of drinking water.Used frying oils spilled into seas, lakes and rivers cover the water surface, preventing oxygen transfer from air to water. This causes the death of fish and other creatures.25% of domestic wastewater pollution is caused by used frying oils poured down the sink.
Used waste oils poured into the sink cause the sewage system to become unusable. The physical and chemical reactions that occur during the frying process lead to the formation of numerous degradation products in the oil. These substances harm the environment and human health.

Vegetable oils with a polar substance ratio exceeding 25 are harmful to human health. Oils with this feature should be withdrawn from the food chain and treated as waste.

Used frying oils are prohibited from being used in feed and soap production due to their harmful effects on living things.
These waste oils, which cannot be recycled, cause pollution of groundwater, which is a source of drinking water.

Used oils can be used in biodiesel production or recycled for electricity generation.

” We want to move our country and the world forward in many ways in the field of bioenergy with the project that we set out with the dream of zero waste oil and for which we have patented. ”
